Seemed strange for an ad other than Circcuit City to be there, so I looked twice. :)

I have had contact with a Voom Rep. He told me the advertising was going to kick off hard and strong in the beginning of March. Well guess so, saw it also impresive adds and they dropped their prices.
Cant wait till the let retailers get involved.

I saw a voom add. They said, "A HDTV is just a TV without Voom". :)

Now if only bud would replay the old frog and louie the lizard commercials in hd ;)The Budfrog spots were great! I think Louie the lizard cut a new deal with Geico Insurance. I noticed he has his own parking space at Geico HQ. :)

Has anyone noticed the ad on Discovery HD theater was cut off to fit the widescreen feed. it was filmed in 4:3 for non-HD channels, and converted to 16:9 for discovery HD. a little stupid I would say, since you can't see 3/4 of the words on the bottom of the screen, which tells their phone number and website. I have had others who have watched the ad, telling me that they couldn't call to get the deal if they wanted to. why can't they make a 16:9 ad that could be down converted for the 4:3 stations?

I just saw the ad again since the above posting and nothing was cutoff, but my pj only has about 3% overscan. The numbers were well into the viewing area, it must have been stretched, zoomed or otherwise manipulated by the station or the viewers.

I didn't zoom or strech it and my TV doesn't have much overscan, as I have never noticed this on anything else. it is possible that Discovery HD theater is doing it, but why wouldn't you notice it? I have seen multiple times and every time it is cut off, and nothing else is. has anyone else noticed this?

I don't know. I recorded Arctic Mission but it was off E* and not V*, maybe that was the difference? Seems weird why it would be cut on one and not the other.

I also cannot wati until they let some retailers, other than SEARS ( of all places) get involved in trying to make this a HUGE success!
