"Spirit TV is now available on Sky Angel channel 9707. (ANON) Listening to this channel as I type. It is an extremely great blend of rock, jazz, soul, (tamed) hip-hop, and contemporary music with a Christian theme that will not smother you! It is also commercial free and according to the VJ, it's going to stay that way. Great Channel ....Okay right now they are in a boy-band,/girl-band stint, but overall for the last 3 hours it's been great! (TNGTony)"

To the best of my knowledge, Z-Music went out of business quite a while ago. If you are looking for Christian Rock music videos, please have a look at TVU - http://www.tvulive.com/ and Sky Angel channel 9705.

I think Spirit is really great! I could even see (once I get my speakers set up again) turning the TV off and using it as a psuedo "radio" station by just listening to the sound. I don't really even mind the boy bands & girl bands, and the little bit of hip-hop, because it keeps it high energy, and I felt that PraiseTV sometimes played so many slow songs in a row, it's a wonder their viewers didn't flip to something else. I think Sky Angel really has something here, but I hope that Spirit does at least some type of weekly show (similar to TVU's Friday/Weekly Ten Most Wanted) that can be syndicated to local stations so that other people can see what they're missing on Spirit.

Honestly, the type of music played is almost exactly what I wish they offered in the radio station lineup - WAY-FM is close, but it's a little too slow for me.

As far as the repeating video loop on Spirit, I get the impression that they don't have it up and running as a complete network yet, and are therefore running a demo loop of 2-3 hours on a TiVo type device. Also I think the theory is that most SA viewers are probably just checking it out for the first time, so there is little need to provide a unique 24 hour schedule right now.

Lack of new content is what killed PraiseTV from the lineup. I hope Spirit can get it together.
