Hey Now:

Did anyone else get this? It showed up on my taped shows of Smart Ask, Canada Now, & Jamie Kennedy on WPIX. It said "There is a new free system upgrade available. Do you wish to have it downloaded to your receiver?"

After taking it, the major upgrade is the EPG doesn't have to keep refreshing every so often when you scroll forward. That was so annoying. :eek2:

Does anyone know what the other upgrades are, if any?

yep
Since the 3100 is the ExpressVu version of the Dish 301..they finally got the upgrade that has the following
-46 hour guide stored in memory
-search for your favorite shows...hit # and you can type in what your looking for
-you can sort your timers alphabetized or in order of execution'
-If you lock a channel, you can hide all locked channels...INCLUDING PPV!!!!

This is great for EVu customers, as the thing I hated was the "no info available" after the next program in the guide.

So now the 3100 is identical to the 301 (except for the obvious...they arent interchangable)

Hey TonyM:

I just discovered that the firmware now supports DishPro LNB systems. Before you could only use the "legacy" dual LNB & switch setup.
