PROGRAMMING: NBA TV in HD on DirecTV

DirecTV entered into an agreement with the NBA to offer a four-hour block of high-def programming from NBA TV, the league's 24-hour channel. NBA TV programming will include live NBA games, post-game shows and the channel's nightly studio program, NBA TV Live.

That report was a bit thin in details. When will this start and what channel will it be on?

Its on, currently. DirecTV channel 84. Its just an HD mirror of the ET primetime of the NBA channel. Which means its usually an HD version of that channels 8th choice NBA game.

IMHO, its nice to see ANY HD content, but the NBA isn't my first choice.

I think they are finding the bandwidth by cutting the PPV signal at that time period.

Thanks, I did see it there. The only problem for me is that tonight's game is blacked out.:( But, I'm not big on NBA either. It is nice to see HD though.

I don't care much for the NBA but if ESPN full court was in HD I would pay BIG $$$$ to have it.
