Does anyone know if the new HD/Tivo DVR will support the media capabilities of Tivo 2?

Can you stream video between two DVR's (or TV's) in the same house?

At this time, no, the HD Tivo will not have Home media option, and the USB ports will be inactive.

Dan Collins over at the DBS Forum (most of the time, very reliable) is saying that the Direct Tivos will have some kind of upgrade by Q4.

Not all sure what it will include but some think HMO. Right now they are working on making sure there are no bugs in the HD Tivo, then I would imaging they would have time to work on tivo 4.0 or maybe even HMO?
