721 and HBO playback funkiness...

i record several HBO/showtime shows (DD) and
each and everytime i view them and use the
skip ahead and go back functions it freezes up...
i have to putz around with the fastforward, play,
rewind, etc before it will resume play...
has anybody else experienced this??? i wonder

There was a problem in the previous sotware update that would cause the recording to jump back to the beginning if you were doing what you describe. I have noticed what you are describing on my 721, and I use those functions a fair amount of the time too.

I can't say if it is only with HBO, but I also have had it freeze up when going back, but if I wait about 5 secs. it will play by itself.

This happens for me EVERY time, and ONLY with HBO.

I have the same problem, there are other posts covering this as well. I noticed it a few months ago, sucks for all those HBO shows and you miss a line or something..I just got my two new tivos, so in a week I guess I won't be having these problems..
