I just noticed this evening that the program guide on my 721 only goes out about 1 1/2 hours - everything past that is "No Information Available".

I called Dish and talked to advanced tech support. They told me that I need to power the unit off over night to get the guide back again. Since I have never encountered this problem before now and have never turned it off in the last two years (other than to reboot) I am sceptical that their explanation is valid.

Has anyone else encountered this with a 721?

Does anyone have an explanation for it?

Same here. Timers still seem to be working though.

this was a problem at E* which caused the the 9 day guide to fail today

however the problem is fixed, to get your 9 day guide back, you can reboot your 721 and leave it off for a few minutes and the guide will be loaded.

however if you have programs recording DON'T reboot until you are NOT recording.

OR just wait tonight when your 721 is off the guide should reload as usual.

I just Upgraded from a legacy twin to a dishpro quad, and I too noticed that my 721 guide is missing alot of info. Dish Told me that they were having some troubles and to leave it off tonight, and should be back to normal.

Ah, so that explains it. That makes a lot more sense than what the advanced tech told me.

Thanks

I have only had my 721 two weeks. To reboot a 721, do you just hold down the power button a few seconds?
Dish told me to turn it off all night, and the quide should be back to normal. Well this morning I am still missing some of the channels info, but is better.

I unplugged my 2 /721 receivers and waited a minute and replugged them in and the 9 day guide came back.

Yeah just hold down the power button for about 5 seconds or so.
