When will the software release be for the single mode of the 522? I'd think they would have done this before they released it. I'd like to be able to use PIP and the swap button on the remote basically so it will function without the second TV option. But even with the TV 2 option it isn't that bad really.
The good features are the guide and menu styles are better, the recording countdown clock for timers (instead of the flashing clock on other DVRs), and the ability to keep watching your show when you push DVR to look at the list of recordings.
Two drawbacks are the guide is in reverse order and no option yet to change it and you cannot hide locked channels out of the guide like you can with most receivers.
