I heard that the Dish Network 921 HD-DVR has a problem now where the guide doesn't have any content for the OTA HD channels. That makes it pretty useless.
Will the HDTivo have guide data for the OTA HD channels?
Yes, the new HD DirecTiVo will have the guide data. In fact, guide data for HD channels is already in the DirecTv data stream (and has been for a couple of years) and is displayed on most of their current HD receivers if the local zip code is entered into the machine.

In the Demo at CES a few months ago, they showed this with the Las Vegas channels.
They picked a local and then they could either record the HDTV feed OTA or the Regular channel feed via the SAT. They were prompted.
So not only is the guide data there, put is also knows and lets you decide to do SD or HD.
Since HD takes more space this is a big plus.
With the 921, you have to manualy enter the HD recordings and hope you remember the correct end time with you puntch it in.
