About 1 hr ago my 721 downloaded a new software version.. L119. This download was a pretty long one. It took about 25 minutes ( the time the green light was flashing). So far I have been unable to find any new features.

My 921 was downloading at about 4:55 AM Eastern Standard time. I now have the L149 software version. The wide mode still seems stretched too far. My 921 has been rebooting itself about once a day. When it does this I, it interrupts viewing for at least five minutes. I hope it fixes this problem. I have not experienced the blue line problem. Does anyone know what this software version is designed to fix or add?

I have noticed a change in the caller ID history. SOME not all dates are
43/45 what the hell is that. and some names are spaced between letters like
Rob_ert or Pau_l. Any ideas what this is about?

While here talking about caller ID, how many numbers will the history store?

Yeah, I noticed my 721 and 921 started downloading @ the same time. I did notice that the 721 download blew my check switch and remote address and the 921 still has those intact...

Are the 921 and 721 still sharing softare development, or have they diverged?

Seems they share some common bugs (like timer padding)...

I am seeing the same thing on caller ID history. There are many entries with strange dates and "_" in the name where some other letter should be.

Different software teams - the 921 team is in London, the 721 team isn't. The code diverged about a year ago.

I have the same thing in my caller ID history. This is normal for the 721, the last few software upgrades have done the same thing. Matter of fact, I used to trust the 721 to save numbers for me, but the last few upgrades have taught me to write down important numbers.

I didn't even know that It downloaded anything. I checked this morning and I have the L119 too. Must of downloaded overnight as It was off last night. I don't see a dime's worth of difference yet. I was hoping dish home would at least work.

My guess is that this is a forced release to fix the guide issue that happened late last week.

Hmm, and that only happened once at least on my 721. I wonder why the software version jumped from 116 to 119?

Because the versions was not passed for beta test.
