View Full Version : How does Voom $0 Work?
If one signs up for Voom for $0 and pays the $9.50 monthly receiver fee (lease, rent?) and decides Voom isn't for them, do they just take the receiver back or do they charge you a fee? Is the monthly receiver fee a lease or a monthly payment with a balance on it if you cancel the service?

With the zero up front cost do you have to sign a contract? I can't believe that VOOM would do an install. Then let you disconnect after two or three months without any disconnect fees.

Your are not required to sign a contract at all. You simply go month to month, if an when you decide to cancel they will come "de-install" your sytem! Only requirement is that you give them a CC to make your payments automatically each month.

And they do not charge you 2 months up front like Dish does.

exactly right, you pay $9.50 a month per receiver (plus a $5 outlet charge for each additional), and you may cancel at any time. Your equipment is under warrenty as well.
