View Full Version : Why won't Ten Commandments be in HD?

I notice that the annual showing of The Ten Commandments on ABC will once again not be in HiDef. Since this is definitely a wide screen movie and ABC has been showing it's Sunday night movies in HD, I am at a loss at why they don't show it in HD. Do you think all the prints are in such bad shape that any transfer to HD would just highlight the defects?

Guess ABC wants their annual broadcasts of the movie to remain the same since year 1. I don't blame them if that's the reason.

Maybe Gawd doesn't like HD, it could be a tool of the devil. :gott:

The DVD is in Widescreen and the picture quality is really good. Too bad that they won't at least show the widescreen DVD version upconverted to 720p.
