Did Direct TV HD DVR ship on the 1st?

Any info on this? Some have said April 1st. FOR SURE!

Technically, it happened. Reportedly there were some logo issues with the Dolby Digital logo presented on the case of the HR10-250 that had to be fixed for units shipped to retail channels. So the few hundred units that had gotten put together instead were shipped to DirecTV for distribution among many of their executives, and some apparently to beta testers who will get their equipment swapped out since the hardware changed over what they originally received.

Naturally people in various places are speculating over how a logo issue could get so far along without being noticed. We'll see if this appears to have actually been the reason once we actually receive some retail channel units and can see if there are any cosmetic changes over pictures of beta units that have been posted.

The first deliveries of units are expected to arrive at at least one retailer (Value Electronics) this week, sometime between Monday and Thursday, and many if not most of the first 200 people on the preorder list who expect units rom that delivery should be getting their unit by overnight delivery, so we'll know for sure units really got shipped next week. Supposedly these units owuld have left the factory at the end of last week in order to make it to their destination.
