Hello all. I was just wondering if anyone else has an thoughts on the CBS HD feed of the Final four tonight. I have been watching it and seems that only 3 cameras tops are actually HD. The rest seem very grainy and out of focus. Normally HD on CBS is stunning, but tonight it seems they are having some difficulties. It would seem to me, that on one of the biggest sporting events they would make sure their HD transmission was flawless, normally it is, but not tonight. Thought I would share my experience so far tonight. Hopefully the Duke and UConn game will be better. Take Care!

Matt

hmmm, I guess I notice it, but it does not bother me. The sideline view when someone is shooting free throws is awesome. And I will always prefer any other HD basketball broadcast than espn since the scoreboard is actually in the right location (far right) rather than where it is on espn hd.

It was the same way last week, I think this is because the network is dumb and uses 1080i versus 720p and it's being brought out, also my local network multicasts so that could take away some of the bandwidth as well.

edit: It's actually worse tonight, and I'm not getting it in Dolby Digital so I can't even hear the announcers

Is anyone else seeing a pixilated blur on the running shots?

Your right enforcer. The camera throught the backboard is SD as well as a few others.
As a newbie to the HD world, I think the picture is super! I installed my triple lnb today (thanks again Chris) and signed up for the HD package. The Discovery HD channel is awesome!
