I was recently (2 days ago) told by an Advanced Tech Support person - who at least sounded like he knew what he was talking about - that a long awaited uprade for 7100/7200 Dishplyers was to be released in 7 - 10 days. He was very excited and claims that most known bugs were to be addressed (successfuly) by the upgrade....

Anyone else heard anything?

Hi Mark,

Welcome to DBSTalk. It's hard to say when the upgrade will get released. It all depends on how long Dish decides they want to test everything and work out the bugs. The best thing to do is to just wait patiently and don't hope for the upgrade on any particular day. You will be easily disappointed.
