KAWE is channel 9 in Bemidji
KAWB is channel 22 in Brainerd

KAWB is a satellite station of KAWE

Since Mpls has KMSP 9 (FOX), Dish will make it 22 (like what DirectTV did). Obvioulsy this channel setup will only work on receivers that have local channel mapping.

yes, they are uplinked but not available yet. Duluth has been uplinked for 3 weeks now..Once they get the bugs worked out, they will release them. Don't know when, but usually its on a Thursday. getting them uplinked is a good sign :D

What will really work for South Bend is if they uplink WMWB-LP 25 and WSBT-DT 22.2 UPN feed. Nearly all cable systems in the area carry both feeds, along with WBND-LP 57 and the full power stations. E* probably could not compete in this market without WBND-57 ... at least we can get WBs and UPNs as Superstations (if we are willing to pay the extra price).

Next month D* may finally get D7s in the air which is also slated to bring locals to South Bend from the dark side. I can't imagine them not having WBND57 now - if they add WMWB 25 or WSBT 22.2 E* may have to consider it.

ABC57 added in South Bend will really make the difference in sales.

Portland Maine????? Thats pretty sweet, but I wonder, I live in Bangor, about 130 miles away from Portland in a different market. I wonder, if I "move" to Portland, would I be albe to get them? Is there a website that shows where the spotbeam would fall and if I would be under it?

For all those waiting for me to burst a blood vessel while venting about YET ANOTHER low power TV station being uplinked to the 16,978th market and once again UPN Cincinnati (#32 market) being passed over. I have taken care of that in the "changes" on the Dish Channel Chart. :)
