I applied for a waiver during the viacom foo-fah-rah and was approved to receive Chicago's CBS. I can't find on DISH's website how much this one channel will cost. Can someone tell me how much and on what channel it is?
thanks

CBS is the only waiver I got also. I even emailed my locals asking why it was denied, they don't email back, those bleepin' bleeps. This is basically why I haven't watched network tv (except CBS & WB I receive on dish) for the last few years. I keep trying every few months for the hell of it anyway.

Huh....many people will pay $5.00 for a coffee latte at Starbucks and $1.50 per month is too much for a channel? I don't get it?

it seems reasonable to me. I suppose I'll just have to decide whether or not to keep it. The Viacom snafu is over, I have my locals again, do I really need Chicago news? I'll ponder it a couple of months, to pay for those months I will abstain from the Starbucks for one day! one thing that struck me as odd; I did not know that the waiver had been granted until I checked the status on DISH's website and there it was. There was no phone call, email, or letter telling me I had the channel. Oh well.
thanks for the replies.

They're the same people who buy a $50,000 SUV that gets 10 miles per gallon and complain that gas costs $2 a gallon.

Rjr,

Amen, as you can see from my avatar, I have an expensive TOY that gets about 1.6 miles to the gallon.

You'll never hear me complain about Gas Prices, why you ask? It isn't because I'm Rich, it's because we as a whole pay the least for Gasoline/OIL than any Western Nation in the world. In fact I'd advocate increasing the cost for fuel so it discourges waste and incourages people and corporations to conserve and find cheaper alternatives to Gas/OIL as well as purchasing vehicles that are more economical and pollute less. REducing comsumption of Oil would make the US MORE secure, as we would be less in dependent on Oil Exporting countries.

While you may see my viewpoint hypocritical becuase I own a Gas HOG Boat. My wife drives a vehicle that gets about 30 miles to the gallon, and I live and work at home. As a family we are considering a more fuel effcient vehicle, hybrid to be exact. Secondly we consume far less fuel in our Boat in the short Northeastern boating season than most people consume in a year in daily comuting alone. My opinion is that Gasoline should be about 2.00 to 2.20 per gallon nationwide with yearly COLA increases.
