buying a 322

What is the status of buying a 322 off e-bay and getting it activated? I talked to csr a month or so ago. They advised against it because of soft ware problems and getting the unit fixed under warrenty. They said they would activate the unit though.

Don't. Dish is NOT activating 322s and 522s for existing customers.

Funny,

Bought my 322 about two months back off ebay.

Activiated no problem.

Problem with the receiver not authorizing my subscribed channels (AEP+locals) was dealt with a new unit shipped out from dish (under warranty).

Kinda burns down the "don't do it argument" don't you think?

Who knows what the chances are of getting it activated. I guess if your lucky you can...just depends on who you talk to and what day you talk to them. Just got my 322 activated today. But then again DISH is not going to activate them anymore or so they say, BUT they make exceptions whenever they feel like it.

It is just a note. Some techs will activate it anyway.
