The 921 still seems to have some issues with how it reports PPV purchases, both to the user and to Dish Network. After purchasing two different PPV movies on two different days, the following was observed:

1) When one enters the "Purchase History" screen, the PPV movie purchases are displayed. If one selects the "Help" button, the help text indicates that for each highlighted movie, the 921 is supposed to display "Reported" if the purchase has been reported to Dish Network, and "Not Reported" if it has not. However, if one actually highlights movies which have not yet been reported, there is in fact no text indicating that the purchase has not been reported. Either the help text is wrong, or the behavior has been unintentionally omitted.

2) After getting a "Collection Hit" from Dish Network technical support in order to force the 921 to report purchases, the 921 still had no interest in automatically dialing out to report pending unreported purchases. However, the "Collection Hit" did allow the "Dial Out" command (from the "Diagnostics") to be used, to force the receiver to call Dish Network. Previously, this command was claiming that there was "No Dial Out Pending".

3) After the 921 successfully called Dish Network and (presumably) reported the purchases, the "Purchase History" screen was once again viewed. This screen showed that the earlier purchase had in fact been reported, as the 921 now showed "Reported" when this item was highlighted. However, the other (more recent) movie purchase continued to show no text when highlighted. After checking recent billing activity on Dish Network's website, it was confirmed that only the older purchase was in fact reported. It is not clear why both (all) purchases were not reported during the modem transaction.

I haven't used the 721, so I don't know how it compares to the 921 in behavior in this area. Does the 721 have the same quirks / bugs with regards to purchasing, displaying information about, and reporting PPV selections? Or are these issues new to the 921?

The only thing that I can offer about this is that the testers are asked to test all aspects of PPV in every beta release that's sent out. Other than that, I have no idea or information about it.

How is PPV reporting working for people now? I am still having the problem where, even after a purchase gets reported to Dish Network, the 921 gives no indication whether that is it "Reported", i.e. there's no text anywhere indicating this. The "Help" text states that it should do this, but it never has.

This is basically the same problem as #1 above from software L180; not sure if this has ever been fixed or any attempt was made to fix this.
