The local OTA HD stations can no longer be added to my favorites list. They appear under all channels though. When I go into favorites, modify, they show up in the list of selections. I select them and finish the list. When I look at favorites, they don't appear in the list. I've done 2 reboots(removed power), as well as a couple with the smartcard. I've also started from scratch and re-added to OTA locals after deleting them. The only thing the reboots fixed was that previous to these reboots, I couldn't create a new favorite list with more than about 20 items in it. Even the satellite locals couldn't be added. Everything was working fine for me prior to this. One step forward, two back. ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm on my 3rd box already because of the thin blue line. Last Box I received at beginning of april seems like I'm still getting the occasional thin blue line down the middle of the screen on dark scenes. I thought this was also supposed to be fixed. I called dish about this, and was supposed to receive a call back to discuss with their 921 team, but it's a week later now...... Somehow I get a feeling a 4th box is in the making.....
This is a known problem with 180, which has been annoying me quite a bit as well.

Hi. I think maybe IMHO that you should possibly review the existing threads.
All the bugs you've mentioned have been reported, at this time, none of it sounds like hardware (even though Dish might keep sending you new boxes because THEY don't know any better).
I might be wrong about the blue line part - it depends on which type you've got. One is hardware, the other seems to be software.

This one is irksome. I know it worked correctly in one of the beta builds that Mark had (according to him), but then got broken again before the software load was shipped out to us. As such, it's very frustrating, probably for both us and the Dish engineers, since it was an issue they certainly attempted to address.
Dish may need some more last minute sanity testing / testing of the code changes in the target builds planned to go out to customers. Even if the beta version works, the change has to also make it into the customer builds!

I nominate this for "quote of the week".
Or, perhaps "understatement of the week".

Just for fun I decided to play with Favorites. I recall reading about this bug but I assume from a limited search, that not adding channels to Favorites is a new bug in L180 that was not a bug in previous versions. That it did work before.
Anyway, my experience was that I could also add the channels to the list and rename the list but once done that list was lost and while I could toggle through the menu and see the Favorites, the only channel there was the 101 channel, that I didn't even select. Has anyone tried to add the channels to the list one at a time? I didn't try that but just now thought of it as an alternative (work around possibility)
So my only purpose here is to confirm that I, too, have the same bug in not having a Favorites list to play with.
Now back to the way I have always done it, using a guide with "All Subs" channels listed.
