I'm starting a new topic since the other one has OTA in the title and this happens on non-OTA recordings also.
Here was the scenario tonight.
#1 OTA (8-1) recording 8-9
#2 SAT (HDNET) recording 8-9
#3 SAT (HDNET) recording 9-9:30
#1 recorded without incident
#2 was 57 minutes long (odd?)
#3 was a 0 second unplayable recording.

Do you remember what padding factors were there? Were you watching anything 'live'?
Seems like OTA is still involved here. My thought is the OTA tuner was locked up and recording #3 was trying to use some resource it had.
I think the 921 is supposed to be able to handle 3 simultaneous input streams (OTA plus 2 satellite), but I've not heard of anyone actually doing it. Can anyone out there confirm or deny this?

I never edited the padding myself, but I know the 921 messes them up when shows overlap so I can't be 100% sure what they were.
I watched the 8-9 OTA recording and it was fine, beginning to end. I ended up deleting the 8-9 SAT recording as it had missed the beginning of the show (I think HDNet started it early) and I recorded it again later.
I guess it wouldn't be too hard to recreate that exact scenario and see what the paddings are and if the same things happen again. But, I'm not a beta tester and my patience has worn thin. My HD DirecTivo is on order and as soon as I hear for sure that no OTA listings will make it to the 921, it goes back.
I have been getting some 0 second recordings as well and I don't have an OTA antenna hooked up. It has happened a few times, but I can't see a pattern to it. I think it has only happened since L180 though.

I got my first 0 second recording a few days ago, on HDNET. I don't have OTA either. Padding wasn't changed from the default, 1 early, 3 late.
