I've been reading to try to figure out how to setup my computers to use Remote Desktop. I have XP Pro for my work desktop on a Win 2k Server and XP Home at the house.

I read I need to set up a Virtual Network at work, which I did, but where I always get hung up is where it asks for "Host name or IP address" because the IP address of the workstation is just for the intranet (in office) address for my server. I have a cable modem, that is plugged into a router, which is plugged into a switch, which the server is plugged into.

I just want to log into my workstation from my house, but I keep running into problems, any ideas? Thanks!

You will need to set up a VPN from your work network that will listen on one of your companies public IP addresses for a connection. This allows your home PC to "join" your work's network. You can also set up a ssh tunnel from your work PC to your house in advance, then once you get home, use that existing tunnel for the connection. Most of the above is really beyond the scope of help here as it isn't just drag and drop to establish everything. It also is likely a violation of your company policy as it does create a security hole.

DVBTalk.com, thanks for the info. I saw it on TechTV and I went to their website, but I wasn't sure about trying it. Was it pretty easy to set up? Thanks!
