After going through various methods to try to resolve this problem on my own, I have come to the conclusion that the latest software release (180) has caused my 921 to not pick up the local NBC (KOB-DT) channel and in most cases does not pick up the local FOX (KASA-DT) channel as well. I have tried Marks suggestion about deleting all of the OTA channels and then unpluging the 921 and then rebooting and re-scanning the OTA channels. The latest software must not have the power to pick up the signals because the readings are not high enough to receive the station. I'm close to the towers so I know it's not that I'm far from them. All of the other stations come in clearly and FOX and NBC did as well before 180. I've also talked to the local station here in Albuquerque and nothing is wrong with their equipment and also talked to the dealer that I picked up my receiver and OTA HD antenna from. He does not believe that the antenna could just stop picking up these stations.

It's definitely the 921.

I've lost ALL of mine. I can no longer get CBS-HD, NBC-HD, ABC-HD, or FOX since L180 downloaded. I hope the emergency fix comes out soon.

Adam- Be sure you check the little dots next to the listing in the OTA channels before you select "SAVE" I did some testing on a couple of channels and discovered I could not add them back either after deleting them. With Version L180, I find this checking the listings one at a time necessary for successful saving. I don't recall having to do that before L180.

Procedure-
Menu6,8
add DTV
enter actual channel number, not remapped number
select save.
Find the remapped number in the list and select it with a check next to it (Important)
Select save

Repeat for the next channel.

Additional observation: This may just be a coincidence and not a fact of L180 but I had a few weak channels where the OTA signal bar was erratic. Those signals caused some intermittant picture breakups as well. After deleting and re scanning the OTA channel number manually, I observed a more stable solid image.

I'm seeing the same thing, Don. For me, L180 actually fixed all my OTA channel problems. The signals are stronger and lock better on ALL my OTA ATSC locals. Also, the timers work properly now. I have about 6 OTA timers set each week and not one of them has failed. Every one of them fired and recorded perfectly. IMHO, L180 is a HUGE improvement on OTA PVR usability!

Your humble opinion is incorrect.

Your humble opinion is incorrect.
Actually, there's no such thing as an incorrect opinion - by definition.

Anyway, my browsing the threads shows that some people have gotten much improvement with OTA, while a similar number have seen big trouble.

Obviously, the developers simply don't have the capability to really test OTA - lab conditions just don't cut the mustard, especially given the huge variations in OTA transmitters, etc. in the many different cities here.

I was having same trouble by not being able to get and hold ota channels. I did what don did and added them manually one at a time. Knock on wood, i'm not having that problem anymore. The re-booting, deleting, and scanning did not work.

This procedure did not help at all with my problem of not being able to receive the NBC OTA channel?

I've added all of my OTA channels individually and they are still gone hours later.
