Bug Report: L180 0 second recording, wrong day, wrong channel

I had a timer for UPN to record Enterprise weekly on Wednesdays.

Yesterday, it recorded it just fine.

Today, I checked to see if CSI was recording and it wasn't. It seems I may have forgotten to set up a time for it. OK, fine.

But, I noticed a 0 second recording on UPN tonight? Huh?

Sure enough my UPN timer has changed to record on Thursdays. I never edited it. I had left the 921 turned off after last viewing a satellite channel.

Once again, I'm left scratching my head.

Now I know what happened. I did edit that timer last night. I wanted to change it to "protect" the recorded shows. I checked the date immediately after, but I guess it actually corrupts the date when you exit the Timer screen altogether.

You got it - which is why I think it's like Windows dialog issues - the input buffer layout doesn't match the processing buffer layout. It's as simple as forgetting to use an updated data definition include file.

Meanwhile, yeah, ya gotta RE-edit the timer to check it. Even the summary list may have it wrong after the edit because it doesn't appear to refresh (which is kinda understandable, but still wrong).

I'm running a test tonight in which I have 2 daily timers set to record, and 2 weekly timers set to record. I defined the 4 timers a little while ago, and then went in and edited something in each of them to try to get them to fail to record. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.

Not having much luck recording Enterprise. I thought I covered all the bases.

This morning, I verified that UPN 21-1 could be tuned. I verified that the next timer set to fire in the timers list was the UPN timer from 7-8. I viewed a sat HD channel and powered off.

I get home this evening and Law & Order is recording, but there is no sign of the earlier UPN recording. The timer is there, with a date of 5/19, ready to misfire next week too, I guess. I'll check after L&O finishes, perhaps 21-1 got lost during thday.
