I don't know if this is a bug with the 921 or with the control segment at dish. It is saying that discovery HD theatre is blocked in my area. The program on 9421 is the wright brothers, first in flight. I think the channel that they don't want me to see is the soccer game on HDNet. I can watch that one fine.

I was watching Discovery HD Theater when a timer was about to fire. Just as the timer was supposed to fire, this dialog popped up: "This channel has been blocked in your area". Right at this moment, the 921 lost all of the OTA channels, and my timer didn't fire. I know the channels were lost pretty much at this time because I had just re-scanned them all a few minutes before.

I don't know if this dialog is a coincidence or not. I'm reporting my observations.

That "channel has been blocked" message is the one you get if you have a recording going on on one SAT channel, you are viewing a second SAT channel, and an OTA timer is supposed to fire. Is that the scenario you were in?

My situation was different Cheezmo. I didn't have any recordings going when I got the message. I think it was some sort of a planned blackout. If your local football team didn't sell out the game, they won't show it on television, because you can just go watch it at the stadium if you want to. I think the soccer game on the adjacent channel was supposed to be blocked, but instead it showed up on Discovery HD for some reason.
