So after the fiasco with the installers yesterday I decided to put the thing up myself. Fun stuff. Since the boneheads didn't even leave the directions, I went at it blind. I took the Dish 500 of the roof, and kissed it goodbye. Mounting the superdish was not that hard. Getting everything connected to the DP34 was a pain. I had to ring out the wires first. Since I had 4 cables on the old dish for the 2 LNB's and now I needed only 3 cables for the 3 LNB's on the Superdish. Once I figured out what cable was connected to what LNb I hooked everyhitng up the the DP34 and ran the old checkswitch and BOOM....nothing there. It was getting dark so I gave up and played with the switch for awhile and couldn't get anything to work.

Finally I quit and went looking for installation instructions on the web aND found them after awhile. After I read the directions I realized that just about everything I did was wrong, and had to restart the whole process again. To make long story longer :D , This morning I flooowed the directions correctly, got my 110 sat peaked went to 119, peaked that and got a decent signal at 121, and everything is hunky dory. These fools are professional satellite dish installers and they refused to install my dish. I'm actually lucky they left it....they weren't going to.

I only have one question after all this blabbing....My signal strength on the 121 only peaks at around 85, while the 110, and 119 peak at about 120. Should the 121 also be getting this good a signal? I'm thinking there may be a tree in the way of 121.

In a nutshell, superdish installations arent that hard....if you have the instructions. :D :hurah:

You story was very inspiring. I am having a problem with my superdish 121 installations. Last night I finally got 119 and watched the Lakers. I am having a problem of catching the other signals (110 and 121). By the sound of it you have GREAT signal. Can you tell me the direction you’re pointing the dish at? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Congrats on getting it installed. 85 real good for either 121 or 105, since they are a lower powered satellite

Where did you find the instructions? My installer was totally clueless, he had the wrong size pole so he used some cardboard to take up the gap, what an idiot. Anyways, they left the dish and I am going to do the install myself where I want it, not where they want it.

Hi guys,Just to add on to my question, I got a full Signal on the 119 Angle, but Im unable o get the 110 and the 121(International) Channels. Any suggestions of what direction (Angle) I should be pointing the dish at? Thank you much.

superdish121, I emailed the superdish installation instructions I have to you. That should help to clear things up a bit.
