Do the DVR receivers just cause more pixelization? It seems like you get a more crisp clear picture on regular 301 receivers than the DVR units. Is it just me or have other noticed this??

I'd say so. I'm so tired of using it. The guide is slow and it has static when you instant replay and has the pixelization problems. I've decided to box it up and keep it I guess until the problems are fixed. I'm getting a 721 instead!! My 508 receiver works great, just no dual tuner.

The answer to the question in general is "No", although obviously there are specific problematic DVRs which do seem to introduce additional picture quality issues. In general, if you record a program on your 508 (or watch it normally even without recording it), it should look the same as watching it on your 301.
