Since L180, I not only lost the digital OTA channels in my favorites but I lost them all together. I tried rescanning them in and adding them in manually, but can't get one station to come in. I never received any analog stations, so I can't test my antenna. I haven't heard of anyone else losing all their stations, could my 921's OTA tuner have gone bad or should I just wait for the next software update? Any other suggestions?

I don't know, Adam. It's possible that your tuner has failed. I'm assuming here that you've checked out the obvious - that the antenna is still plugged into the 921 antenna port, and that your antenna is still pointing in the right direction?

I never received any analog stations, so I can't test my antenna. I haven't heard of anyone else losing all their stations, could my 921's OTA tuner have gone bad or should I just wait for the next software update? Any other suggestions?I would try added analog channel 3 to the 921. Then hook up a VCR that outputs on channel 3 and see if it works.

If that does not work you could assume it is not a problem with your antenna. If it does work, it does not rule out a 921 problem, but I would look at the antenna more closely.

That's sharp thinking my man! Useful whenever you need to check ANY analog tuner - TV, whatever.

I actually still have cable and scanned in the analog channels from it. It scans those analog channels fine. But, my cable company does no longer broadcast any digital 8vsb signals, just QAM so there is no way to see if it's the 921's digital tuner or my antenna. Plus I noticed the problem right after L180 was downloaded, so that implicates the 921. I have looked at the antenna with binoculars and it looks fine. But I do use an UHF amplifier and the power supply that the antenna plugs into is not warm to the touch at all. I would think because there is a transformer inside the power supply it should be a little warm. I'll see if I could get a hold of another power supply and see if that's it. Thanks for your help guys; I'll let you know how I make out.

I'd grab some analog channels from the -antenna- to check the amp and antenna. If that did not work, I'd also try a direct connection to the TV (to avoid the 921 tuner altogether. If an analog channel near (frequency and transmitter location) one of the digital channels comes in ok, then the 921 is probably broke.

As I have said before, it would be nice if there was some way to completely initialize the 921 to factory defaults (just in case some of the program bits or database had gotten corrupted) so we might avoid a trip back to Dish...
