So far the best looking HD I have recorded on my HD Tivo was Stuart Little 2 on HBO. Some of my local digital channels look good but for some reason Stuart Little 2 just popped right out of the screen with its vibrant colors and detailed computer graphics.

Except for all the data dropouts, that is. This was last night's episode off CBSW. Anyone else have that problem.

Haven't recorded anything yet, but last night I was flipping channels and saw a Discovery HD program showing the total eclipse of the sun in Antarctica last year. Amazing pictures. The penguins looked like they were going to walk right across the room to me.

I've seen that program. Excellent pictures of the eclipse. Another good one is the one about the northern lights. They got a highly sensitive HD camera that was able to record them for the first time in history (in HD).

Britney Spears: Live from Miami (Showtime HD)
;)
My wife would argue the point more than likely.

I have been getting lots of dropouts/artifacts, primarily with CBSW (usuallly when recorded vs live). Do you think it's the unit or the feed?
A daytime Cubs game via WGN-DT in Chicago OTA.

I will now cast my vote, as to best RECORDED HD, for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. I only watched part of the recording since I saw the end of the game live, but the recorded picture was every bit as good as the live picture. It was good enough that it could almost convince me not to renew my tickets for whenever the next season is!

Me too! I tuned into the game for a little while and the PQ was awesome. I might actually watch the next game and I'm not even a hockey fan. :)

I'm going to change my vote. Discovery HD Theater had a show on Truk Lagoon that was absolutely spectacular.

Sharks Under Glass on Discovery HD (I still have it on my 921). The scenes of the aquarium pool is spectacular (not to mention the scene where a 12 foot great white shark leaps 10 feet out of the air at a lure being dragged along the surface)

We just watched that one tonight. I think the Truk Lagoon images were better, but it's a close call.

I guess I will also have to change my vote. The NBA finals on ABC look pretty darn good.

Sure, but it was nice to be able to confirm that indeed it worked as advertised.
