I am now getting bugs with this new software that I have not got before, such as a solid pink screen of death and sometimes I can only tune channel 1 and 201 when pressing the channel up and down buttons.

Sounds like my DISHPlayer BEFORE the upgrade (except solid magenta only lasted for about 2 seconds before it automatically rebooted; and I could get 1, 201, and 202 (but I had blinkouts if I manually tuned any other channel)). I was also told by a DISHPlayer tech about the second one to wait for a software upgrade (I assume this is the one) that would fix that. So it sounds like it caused what it fixed for people who never had the problems:) Oh well, you deserve to enjoy the channel 1,201, and (for me) 202 also:) Doing a factory mode reset helped me get through about 2 weeks, whereas a smart card reset fixes it about a day. Anything else did no good.
