Remote codes for dishplayer

Has anyone figured out the code for a dishplayer to work on a universal remote. My remotes list echostar as 175 this works on my 3900 but not my dishplayer. Anyone figure this out. Or should I buy a programmable remote? Any suggestions.

You'll likely need a programmable remote. The DISHPlayer actually uses a WebTV code, but good luck finding a remote with the code!

www.remtecentral.com is the best place to get info on remote codes. IF you cant find waht you wantt here ask. They are very helpful.

I have an X10 universal remote and would like to program it for use with my PVR-501 or my 4900 sat echostar box but the codes given for my remote don't seem to work. Anyone else have luck getting a univeral remote to work?

I use a pronto to contol everything, but that was easy to get to work, as I had the pronto learn all of the codes from the remotes. For non-learning remotes, it can be quite a bit more difficult to find one that has the E* codes available.
