Does anyone have their 721 on dishpro using just one side of a dish pro twin or 3 to 4 switch?

I had a bad cable connector here ran switch test and found it. The 721 finds a dishpro and anything else as a matrix miss match and flakes out.

Now I replaced the cable connector this am but got thinking could you run a 721 on just one side of a dishpro? It sure appeared to me the box is unusable in such a configuration. Even with no sat connection the 721 calls it legacy.

I ask about this a friend was talking of occasionally taking his 721 to a camp site with just one dishpro lnb available. his neighbor offered use of his extra twin lnb connection.

does anyone do this successfully?

I fairly certain that the 721 requires both tuners active, and on identical configurations. I KNOW the 921 does.

The 522 will acquire video just fine with only one tuner connected. Whether it works for more than five minutes, I don't know.

The 721 requires a connection on each sat input. I directly asked dish if I could use only 1 input during my install (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=28555). Dish advanced tech stated that the 721 requires 2 sat inputs. For install, at least, AFAIK.
