Since the Euro 2004 soccer games overlap we need to manually set the PVR to record the matches to end the first game earlier than the scheduled end time. I attempted to manually set an PVR event for channel 459 this morning. I discovered that Channel 459 did not appear in my list of channels to select. Directly entering 4-5-9 with the remote did not work either. 457 where the other match was televised DID appear in my "create" list.
I called DISH Tech Support, they shifted me to "Advanced Tech Support" who spent 30 minutes on the phone with me and then determined that "it is a problem known since last night and the software engineers were hoping to have a fix sometime tomorrow".
That did not help me for todays Portugal-Greece game, did anyone else have the same problem? I could not end the event during the post-game show and then activate the next PVR event.
Now, later today, 459 IS in my list but 457 is missing. This will create problems for the other games sceduled in the next three weeks. It seems to me that they should change the program guide and list the pre/post game shows as different programs, that would enable easier auto-programming of the PVR.
