My father (being the cantankerous sort he is) does not want Dish locking him in to 12 months of service, he doesn't want to give them a credit card for autopay, etc. So, anyway, he had me order him a new Superdish 105 kit off eBay. He has an old C-Band pole in the yard with a concrete base that he wants to mount the Superdish on. I have seen some comments regarding the 2 braces for mounting the Superdish. Would those be necessary on a pole mount such as this? The pole is about 3-4 inches in diameter and, like I said, set in concrete in the ground. It supported a 10 foot metal dish (not aluminum) for years and years. Shouldn't that be enough stability for the Superdish or are the braces still going to be needed? Thanks.
