I have a new 921 running L184 connected to my Sony XBR800 set via DVI. The problem I am experiencing is a little difficult to describe, but I will do my best to explain. I am seeing some very faint soft edged light vertical bars moving horizontally through the screen from right to left. They resemble an electrical "hum" noise a little bit. This only happens on the 1080i output so I have no reason to beleive that it is electrical in nature. It exists on full page menu screens as well as on any HD channel that I am watching via the 1080i output. If I switch to 720p output, it goes away completely, it also does not exist on any SD output. I looked through all of the postings here and didn't see anything that looked similar, if there is, then I apologize for repeating something that has already been reported. Thanks.

Jaxdave - does this happen with component out as well? If you can, also try a different DVI cable.

Mark,
The problem does not occur on the component output. I am picking up a new DVI cable tonight and will try switching that out, although the 720p and both 480 outputs looked fine on the current DVI cable. I'll let you know after I try a new one. Thanks.

If the new cable doesn't solve the problem, call tech support, ask to be elevated to advanced tech support and describe the problem. Most likely you'll have to RA it for another one.
