Platinum (Silver) PVR's remote control vs. Sys Info button in it...

Why doesn't this remote have a Sys Info button? (as any other older remote controls - example: black or blue buttoned)

because earier boxes usually were missing front anel controls, which they finally realized were important. so the system info remote button really isnt necessary

but if used older remote on the 508 say - and press Sys Info - it will still work :)

Perhaps they want to get 5xx users off of their butts to press the receiver button? :D
Or make them press four keys instead of one? (MENU 6 1 3)
Or perhaps too many people pressed it by mistake. There really isn't a need to look at sysinfo unless there is a problem. Or unless you want to.

IIRC the new P202+ and probably your P226 allow you to double click MENU to get to the sysinfo. As it stands, my 501 doesn't allow that but perhaps when it gets the new look it will get the double click SysInfo too?

Then we can be as lazy on our 5xx receivers as we are on the 301's. :D
