EchoStar's DISH Network recently made ABC affiliate WYTV available to its customers in the Youngstown, Ohio, market, making it the satellite TV company's 1,000th local channel nationwide.

DISH Network launched its first set of local channels in 1999 and claimed entry into its 50th state - Wyoming - last month. The DBS service offers local channels in 136 cities.

The company launched Youngstown locals in late June.

One interesting aside to this note...(having used to live up there in Ohio) :)
WYTV is 'still' not broadcasting in stereo, but were interestingly enough the first local station to start broadcasting HD (and being ABC, actually broadcasting the 5.1 signal as well).
just fwiw.
