My 921 remote works intermittently on occasion, especially when i point it near the receiver, even though it is an uhf siginal. Anyone else experienced this?

Do you have the uhf antenna for the remote control plugged in? It says in order for this remote control to work it must be plugged in. I notice without it it does work intermittently. This remote control seems less powerfull to me than my 721 remote control. I some times have to reboot the receiver to get the remote control to work since it will lose functionality .

Yes, the antenna was on, but i raised it straight up and tightened it and that seemed to help. Thanks

Notice mine has been doing that,, page up in the guide,, wait 10 seconds ,, hit page again,, sometimes no response. I used to do a softcard reboot but lately, I have been pulling batteries out of the remote,, putting them back in and it works fine. Batteries are fresh,, seems to me the remote just wants to take a nap sometimes.

That happened to me today. Shades of the old Dishplayer days. Seems like if you try to do too much, too fast, it has a brain cramp and takes a few seconds to figure it all out. All was well after the short wait.

Let us just call it a 921 remote control brain fart. It is not really a bug just a fart.:p
