View Full Version : help with superdish installation
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help. We are going to be getting the superdish installed which will be replacing our direct TV dish. The problem is that the azimuth changed from 195 to 208,219,221 and the elevation from 36 to 30. We have always received a good signal with direct TV. Now we are concerned about a pine tree being in the way. We have the dish installed under the eve of our house. We also realize the superdish is much bigger. The tree seems to be in the way with the new azimuth. The dish is approximately 19 feet up. The tree is 30 feet away and very tall. Are we wasting our time by putting it in the same spot? please help.

If you are going to point towards 105 then it is higher up in the air and easier to get than 110 and 119 that Dish 500's use. If it is 121 then it will be just a tad harder to get in than 119 since it is lower than 119 (if you live on the east coast).

I personally do not recommend putting a SuperDIsh on a house unless if is done totally correct. A pole on the ground is a better install. Can you locate this dish on a pole in a way that will get you around the tree. Being only 19 feet up isn't that high, and if you could put it somewhere esle in relation to the house, you may be able to find a better spot.
