Picture in Guide Problem

HI,

The Picture in my picture-in-guide does not load up when you press the 'Guide' button. It usually takes a couple minutes or so to show up, is this a software problem or something else?? I have a 4900 series receiver

Are there any software updates coming up for the 4000 series receivers or are they too old for updates?

The tuner is being used to down load the guide so it can't display a picture. The 4000 is old but if it has memory capacity for a new feature DISH has upgraded them as necessary.

I too have this same issue.
Only thing i have found is if you wait until the video starts playing, it wont download again for awhile.

I used to see this everyday several times a day on my old 3800 and 3900. When I changed them out to 301's the occurance of this refresh decreased, that is until the P226 update. The EPG needs to refresh and memory size is a contibutor to how often this occurs. After the P226 download the occurances have again increased substancially on my 301's. The 811 does this to me maybe twice a week. But then again I can't tell you how often this occurs when I am not home.
