I am switching to direct tv from dishtv because i want to get nfl ticket. I have a high def tv and want advice on what would be the best way to go. I want to get recommendations on where to purchase my equipment to get as much off as possible but wanted to get the best dual tuner tivo unit with the highest recording time or the best dual tuner with high def. Should i go for the hr10-250 and where could i purchase with the biggest discount for new sub? Any comments on which models to consider would be helpful. thanks much for the help!!!!
The best thing to do is just surf the net and see what you can find deal wise. I purchased my system from http://www.valueelectronics.com/. They have a $299 deal for a HD STB and two standard receivers with dish installed.
On the HD Tivo they're still in short supply, it looks like keeping an eye on www.circuitcity.com web site is a good bet (I got mine there). I haven't seen any new customers deals on the HR10-250 yet but then I haven't really been looking.

Don't forget to check Best Buy online as well. They had them in stock yesterday at: Best Buy - HD TIVO - LINK (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1076627785569&skuId=6338929&type=product)
Also, because of demand there are no subscriber discounts on this model yet.

Basically everyone's paying $999 for the HR10-250 so that price with the dish and two additional receivers sounds good to me.
