I would like to install the following directv system:

Triple LNB dish with off air antenna for HD signals

TV 1-two receivers, one with HD and one with standard DVR

TV 2- standard receiver, no tivo

TV 3- standard receiver, no tivo

Do I need any special equipment, or are the four cables that run out of the standard LNB dish sufficient? I think the four cables are sufficient, unless the off air antenna needs its own cable?? Also, does TV1 need two RG6 cables or three (ie is a third wire necessary to carry the off air antenna signal to the HD box)? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

At TV 1, do you mean a regular HD receiver and a DirecTV DVR? If so, you need three lines from the dish right there. I then total five lines which will mean you need a 5x8 cascadable mutliswitch. All four lines from the oval dish connect to this multiswitch and then you have 8 outputs to use as you wish. The fifth input on the multiswitch is used to diplex your OTA antenna. Then you use a diplexer to separate the OTA at the TV(s) that need it.
