"Moving" to New Orleans

I am in Meridian, Miss., and am considering "moving" to New Orleans. Does anyone know if I would be able to receive the New Orleans local channels? It is about 200 miles from metro New Orleans -- does the spot beam go that far away? Would the signal break up? Can anyone help me?

You might find out which transponders the New Orleans locals are on and then check your signal strengths on them. If the strengths are decent, you would probably be okay. Of course, I'm assuming that since you are so close to N.O. you aren't in another spot beam.
