Using Blue Button 301 remote on a 501

I have lost my 501 remote, but I have a spare 301 remote. Is there any way to use the 301 remote the control the PVR functions or am I gonna have to buy another 501 remote (which I plan to do anyway but I want to use PVR feature in the mean time)?

Hmm, I figured out how to make pause and stop work but RR/FW does not work.

I noticed in the 301 manual, there was a TV code listing for EchoStar. So I think WTF, Echostar does not make TVs (not considering the HD monitors). So I tried punching the code (722) as a VCR code and in VCR mode pause and stop and play will work. However fast forward and rewind does not work?

Of course in SAT mode the star button loads the PVR list and pound loads the search, no special work needed, but I knew this.

Does anybody know some other codes that can do what 722 does but maybe with at least fast forward working? So I can skip ads.

I found my platinum remote! It was in the guest bedroom under the pillows. How did it get there?!?

E should include a remote finder in every higher end remote. We spent so many hours looking for them I finally bought some spares. BEEP BEEP BEEP would be so helpful.
