The SFGate.com website has an interesting article today on the challenges facing newcomers to the world of high-definition television. The learning curve is a lot steeper than it used to be when all the TV buyer had to decide was what size screen he wanted, and whether he would buy it for cash or on credit.

Think it's easy? Remember, in the beginning we all had to learn the meaning of 16:9, 4:3, 5.1, 480p, and 1080i, not to mention SD, ED, RPTV, LCD, DLP, LCoS, DVI, RGB, DVR and DCR.

Check out the article here -- Hi-def High-def for dummies (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2004/08/02/BUGUO7URKT1.DTL) -- what you should know before you buy

The article notes: Cramming for the state bar exam might be easier.

After wasting almost three months of my life studying for the CA bar exam this summer, I can honestly say that nothing is harder than cramming for the state bar exam.
