I would like to switch from Dish Net to Directv. My question is: can I use the Dish Network LNB and Dish with my directv receiver? I would hate to waste my time switching out dishes if I didn't have to. Are the LNB's the same? I heard that they are, but am not sure I trust the source.
Thanks!

Depends on what LNB is on the DIsh 500. Most likely - you'll need to switch dishes / LNBs.

I don't know the difference in the LNB's. I know the system I have is set up for International programming only. So, I don't know if there is a difference in the LNB for the regular programming and international. I do know that they are on different birds. The LNB says "Digital LNBF". I think the model # is BS1H1UP101M. Will this LNB work with Directv??

Instead of trying to figure out if the Dish LNBs are compatible, why not just let the DirecTV installers swap out the dish? It's part of your purchase!
