I saw a Sony CoCoon reciver on the japanese website. Is this a japanese sat. company?

It is a DVR, just like Tivo. It comes with hard drives up to 500GB, and is said to be better then Tivo. I have never used one, as they are not available in the U.S along with the service, so I can't personally say if it is better then Tivo.
