OK, you folks may have already thought of this and I don't know if it would work, but is it possible that the flashware data for the OTA channels of the model 6000 be introduced into the 921 flashware in hopes of resolving the unable to lock, and loss of OTA channels? This might even give us the signal strength meter in the, VIEW TV banner.

No - not at all feasible. The code bases and hardware are simply too different.

Too bad. Perhaps they can re-do the codes for the 921 so they will work like the 6000.

The best Dish could do is to have the 921 programmers review the source code for this portion of the 6000 to see what works and what doesn't work. Basically, they might want to borrow some of the algorithms from the 6000, if the 6000 really is superior in this area (I'm not entirely convinced; the 921 OTA tuning may be better overall, just with a few bugs). However, a straight port is impossible, since they have different hardware platforms.
