Depends on where you live? By saying "are now available" I am taking this comment as your not in a large market. You can call E* and they'll set you up with everything you need. SuperDish at either 105 or 121 depending on your market, DP34 Switch, and a DishPro adapter for that pesky 3900.

You should be ok. Only the 1000 and 2700? aren't SD ready if I am not mistaken(may be some other oddball ones). Like Jason said, you will need a DP adapter for your 3900....However, ask about the SD/301 upgrade for the 3900. You can probably get it replaced for like $49.99 with an SD Install. Far as I know, they are still doing that.

I would go with Larry's recommendation...I previously upgraded my 3800 and 3900 to 301's...The 301's are night and day difference in stability and features. When I traded I did have to pay an exchange fee...Don't know what the current offers are for 301's though...seeing the 311 replaced the 301 you may have to go this route instead??

I think it's like $49.99 for up to 2 replacements.....will have to look and make sure.

i think 2700 can do SuperDISH...
3000, 4000, 1000, 2200, - can't though....

I was running a 3800 and 3900...The 3900 I believe had a SuperDish checkbox...I believe you had to select 129 and 121 on the 3800...I'm burnt out right now and don't know If I am remembering this correctly...But I believe this is correct.

hehe - you are not correct .. 3800 is 3900.. it's get upgaded by stream to 3900..
3800/3900 can handle superdish's sats..
he was asking which ones - so those are one(s) of them...
but also 2800/2700/3700 *they all running 2700's software.. and basically are 2700s then" - i believe they can do superdish too.. (regardless if has to select 129 or 121 or check SuperDish checkbox.. )..
No matter as long as can handle SuperDish and IT's satellites (121 and 129)..
Basically - lol - "no matter how you get there.. as long as you get there) :)))

Go to the setup/installlation section on each settop box. Next goto the point Dish screen. If you see 121 or 105 as selections, then your STB has SuperDish software built in and it will work with SuperDish. Since SuperDish is a "DishPro" device, you may have to use a DishPro adapter on older non-DishPro STBS.

All I know is that I bought the 3800 from Sears...I believe it was a JVC unit, The other one I got from Dish and it says 3900 on the contract...The 3900 unit was a Philips unit. Just software or not...At the time I wasn't into AV heavy enough to really pay attention...I'm only going by what was on the slip.
I ended up exchanging both thru E* for 301's.

lol - so if not sure "like that" - no need to misinform :D
cuz trust me - nowadays - 3800 is 3900 as soon as you put it to the stream and it takes the fresh S/W...
Bottom line (to answer original poster's question) - 4700/4900, 3800/3900, 301s (from the low end ones are compatible with SuperDish or it's sats).. and i am PRETTY sure also that 2700/2800/3700 (the same thing) can run SuperDish satellites too..
Where i know for SURE - that - 1000s, 2000s, 3000s, 4000s 2200s (and simular chit) - Can NOT :)
If 2700s/3700s/2800s can NOT run SuperDish's satellites - Someone please correct me.. but i am pretty sure 2700s/2800s/3700s - Can!

oh ya.. 3800 (if says on screen ..no matter what says on the receipt or on back of receiver) - for SURE can NOT do Superdish Sats. - cuz would be old software then..
But as soon as it upgrades in stream to newest software - it will become automatically 3900 Upgraded (on sys info screen) - and be able to do SuperDish's satellites :)

OK.. to make it all simpler -------> Yes .. both of the listed (above) receivers - your 301 and 3900 .. both of them will be able to handle SuperDish's Satellites (105 and 121).. you can see them available and listed on the Installation Menu!
So - you are fine..and set to go :)

The DP+44 manual lists the 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, JVC D-VHS, 7100, 7200 not supported with the 2800, 3900, 4900, 6000, and of course all the DP receivers supported.

correct...
where also to be noted:
2800 = 2700 = 3700 (same thing with software upgrade)
3900 = 3800 (same thing with software upgrade), and:
4900 = 4700 (same thing with software upgrade)

I wasn't attempting to misinform "like that" Darkman...forgive me if I'm a little too sensitive right now...I have not slept yet...And I'm stuck in friggin Hell trying to prepare documents for my companies profitability review...
3800 -> 3900...I have no reason not to trust you. I believe your information already.

lol .. no prob.. have fun in Hell there...
BTW - i jumped the gun somewhat too - i read the original poster's message after posting this .. and saw that even though he asked "which receivers would work with SuperDish" (to which i tried to answer)..
At the same time though - he said that he has 301 and 3900.. and was asking if 3900 (be it genuine 3900 or upgraded from 3800 one) would run SuperDish (to which you answered Correctly too :) )
:D
So.. - Sorry as well
