I have purchased an ExpressVu system to get all the 'free' soccer I like.
Can anyone recommend a good installer in St. Paul area they have worked with?

Its not that hard to install (I'm in Shakopee)

Are you using both satellites (82 & 91)?
The skew can basically stay at what it is..elevation is around 38-39..The skew technically is -6 (84) but I've left mine at 90 with no issues

I hooked mine up in 1/2 hour and got a 80 signal on most TP's on 91 and around 65 on 82 (82 is weaker in the US)

btw: what do you mean "free" soccer?

I am pretty poor at doing the "getting up on a roof business" if you know what I mean. Mine is just a 91. I currently have a Dish Network dish. I stopped subscription after piss poor service.
"Free" soccer means No PPV which most of the English matches are if they are not at the early hours.

Hope you have some suggestions for a good local installer. I live in Little Canada (appropriately) :)
Thank you

Cool. There is a lot of soccer on FS World and Rogers Sportsnet

So all it would involve is moving the existing Dish 500 dish to 91 and getting it hooked up?

Hell, I'll install it :)

I sent you a couple of PM's :):D

Unfortunately, you missed the best of the "free soccer" this summer. TSN on ExpressVU broadcast the entire Euro 2004 tournament, whereas Setanta in the US wanted $179 to view the whole thing.

Better late than never. Anyways 'my teams' did poorly.

Thanks to Big TonyM I'm all set. He is THE MAN!!!!! :)

Downloading as we speak. They were too busy yesterday. So I will have soccer coming through my ears from Tonight :D

Will update you on what I got tomorrow.

Thanks again big guy! BTW I have been a little busy last weekend. But will be sure to look up some of those sites....and contact Celtic Pete!

I think we will click...cause Celtic are my second team...after Manchester United.

Take Care

I have purchased an ExpressVu system to get all the 'free' soccer I like.

It's incredible that in the US there are two free games/weekend (from the english premier league); but Four in Canada (the two extras on PPV in the US); and with the cost of the two PPV games working out to more than $30 PER WEEKEND, the Bev setup pays for itself very quickly. If you pay (for example) $50/month for a Bev subscription, it only takes watching two weeks worth of footie to get your cash back!

No brainer right? I understand they have better programming too.

Are you far enough North to get all the TP's (after the whole Nimiq3 issue)?

Red..we're OK here in MN....still plugging along :)

It's time to change my avatar! I've recently switched to Star Choice, so I'm not sure....but based on everything I've been seeing on the Kusat site, it seems PA would be fine...everyone writing in complaining about losing their signals have been in California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida. I know your signals are fine...My home is really only about 300 miles south of Toronto, so I'm guessing everything would be ok as well. I feel bad for all those far southern subs!

Also to Red Dreams: Yes the programming is better! I'm a news/sports person. We already mentioned the extra soccer from England; add to that some Champions League stuff that ESPN doesn't show in the states plus BBC World, CBC Newsworld and the CBC in general and it gets a lot better. Plus just general time-shifting because the Canadians don't care what market you're in...you see locals from coast-to-coast...
